Astronomy

THE CLASS

Did you know that Roseville High School has an amazing astronomy class? The class is inside a fantastic planetarium. There are two different courses you can take, one is Astronomy: Sun and Solar System and the other is Astronomy: Stars and Galaxies. In the course Sun and Solar System you learn about the Sun and the effects it has on the earth and other planets in our solar system. You also learn about the different phases of the moon, the equinoxes, and about other planets in our solar system. The other course Stars and Galaxies you learn about the birth, the life, and the death of stars. You also learn about the galaxies and different constellations.

THE ROOM

One of the main reasons this class is appealing to many of the RHS students is because of the beautiful room. The planetarium of RHS is one of the state of the art planetariums. It was built in the late sixties and upgraded in 1998. The room is also air conditioned and has comfortable seating. There are two to three public show throughout the year. So if you would like to see the planetarium then you should check out one of the shows.
