Q. Why was it developed?
Consistent with PA25, the Michigan Department of Education
developed a system that would speak directly to all stakeholders in
promoting excellence. The system that emerged, Education YES!-A
Yardstick for Excellent Schools, provides both a snapshot of current
school performance and supplies feedback and direction to assist
schools on a path of meaningful change. Education YES! is based on
the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) results and
School Performance Indicators. |
