COMMUNITY EVENTS   ROSEVILLE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS JOINS THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE Roseville Community Schools will be sponsoring a team at this year’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life being held at Memorial Park (across from Steenland Elementary School) on Saturday, June 5th through Sunday, June 6th.  The relay runs for 24 hours, from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday through 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.  We are looking for walkers, cheerleaders, fund raising ideas, donations, etc.   If you would like to register to walk with our team, please log onto the American Cancer Society website www.relayforlife.org/rosevillemi and click on the “sign up” button.  From there click on the “join a team” button.  Search for the “Roseville Community Schools” team and fill out the required information.   If you cannot walk but would like to help out with a donation, luminaria bags are available.  For $10.00 you can purchase and decorate a bag in honor of or memory of someone that has been touched by cancer.  Lighted candles are placed in the bags, which then line the walking track during the evening of the relay.   If anyone has fundraising ideas or would like to help in any other way, please call Diane Rogers at 445-5508.  We all know or love someone that has been touched by this horrible disease.  Let’s show our Roseville spirit and make this team one that we can all be proud of.   Thank you in advance for your support! RIBBON QUILT RAFFLE   Help the Roseville Community Schools’ Relay for Life Team by purchasing a ticket for $1.00 which entitles you to a chance of winning the beautiful donated Ribbon Quilt shown below (click on picture for a larger image).  The quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted with “angel wings”.    Winner need not be present to win – drawing will be held after the luminaria ceremony at the Roseville Relay for Life on Saturday, June 5, 2010 (approximately 10:00 p.m.).  Tickets can be purchased at Roseville Community Schools Administration Building or by calling 586-445-5500 or 586-445-5508.
