ELEMENTARY Small class
sizes provide a variety of learning opportunities for
all elementary students. The daily curriculum of
language arts, math, science and social studies is
enhanced with opportunities for art, music, band,
physical education and computer classes. The district

NEW CONSTRUCTION In
2006 the Roseville community approved a $110 million
school renovation and building plan for all schools.
Some renovations will include new roofs, heating and air
conditioning systems, and bathrooms. Two new
elementary schools,
John R. Kment Elementary and
Joseph G. Steenland Elementary, will open in the
fall of 2009. A new ninth-grade wing, fine arts and
cafeteria additions, renovated science labs, and a
career technical education center (including an
automotive technology shop, machine shop and drafting
labs) are in the works at
Roseville High School. Ninth grade students
will begin attending Roseville High School in the fall
of 2009.

TECHNOLOGY Roseville
is one of the most technologically sophisticated
districts in Macomb County. We are proud that advanced
technology is in use in all curricular programs. With
the successful passage of the 2006 bond, we were able to
implement new technologies and upgrade over 2,300
classroom computers. Additional district technology
highlights include a planetarium, distance learning lab
and wireless laptop carts.

EARLY CHILDHOOD
Roseville Community Schools believes in the importance
of effective early childhood education. Through a
literacy-based curriculum our young children begin the
exploration of reading, math, science, and social skills
that will prepare them for kindergarten. A low child to
staff ratio and frequent communication between our staff
and parents are hallmarks of our preschool programs for
3 and 4 year olds. Please visit the
Early Childhood website for additional information.

ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION
The Roseville Alternative School recognizes that
students learn in different ways. By offering a lower
student to teacher ratio, an environment is created
where students can thrive. With commitment and
enthusiasm our highly qualified teachers build
relationships with students, set high expectations, and
offer 7th through 12th graders a chance to begin again
the journey to graduation.
